Trustworthy Computing
AI safety, privacy engineering, secure systems and verifiable software.
Our researchers work across thirty-eight centres and labs, organised around four university-wide themes that connect disciplines to real-world challenges.
AI safety, privacy engineering, secure systems and verifiable software.
Photovoltaics, storage, catalysis and next-generation materials.
Urban systems, mobility, water and resilient infrastructure.
Biomedical devices, sensing, and data for population health.
We collaborate with industry, government and non-profit partners on sponsored research, contract testing, and joint laboratories at the Northgate Technology Park. Our Office of Research Partnerships supports licensing, spin-outs and student-industry projects.
All research at CUST is conducted under the university’s code of research conduct, with independent ethics review for studies involving human participants, animals, or sensitive data. We support open access and responsible data stewardship.
